Le Prigionette Nature Reserve
One of the richest corners of the Porto Conte Regional Nature Reserve in terms of plant biodiversity
The state-owned Porto Conte - Prigionette wildlife sanctuary is one of the richest corners of the Porto Conte Regional Nature Reserve in terms of plant biodiversity.
Wonderful scents and colours typical of the Mediterranean flora, landscapes ranging from rocky cliffs to hillsides, breathtaking panoramic views and truly unique encounters: within the state forest, also known as "Noah's Ark", visitors are likely to come across native animals such as the Sardinian donkey, the white Asinara donkey and wild horses, as well as plant species of great botanical and natural interest.
The forest’s dense network of paths can be visited freely on foot, but eco-friendly electric mini-cars (4 seats) and e-bikes are available to rent and guided tours for photo safaris can be booked (minimum 4 people).
There is also an information point, a large picnic area and a play area for young visitors.
